We believe that one person forced into the military through coercion, deception and threats is one too many. We are committed to ensuring that not even one child or young adult will join the military against their will or with bad information provided by the government.
In light of the latest stories of recruiter abuse to hit the media that we must act directly to make sure this does not happen again. We also must force Congress to investigate how many times this has already happened and hear from the soldiers who joined because they thought there was no other alternative.
We have no way of knowing how many have joined the military under duress and have died, been injured or emotionally scarred because of deceptive recruiters. It is imperative that we TAKE ACTION and demand accountability from Congress and the U.S. Military.
